Lisa Hersch, RN

Lisa Hersch, R.N. is co-owner and Director of Nursing Services and Quality Assurance of United Nursing Services. She is well-known and respected for the kindness, compassion and professionalism she shows her clients and her staff.

In January 1990, Lisa took on the role of Director of Nursing Services at Nursefinders, now United Nursing Services (UNS), fully committed to becoming the person who would make a difference in home care. Her philosophy and personal commitment was sparked when she experienced the poor quality and standards of care her sister Jill, fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in New York, was given.  When her sister and inspiration Jill passed away in June 1996 at age 27, Lisa’s passion and commitment to uphold the highest standards and provide quality home health care service became her lifelong mission. Lisa is well recognized by her peers and within the community for setting a precedence of quality standards in home care in the communities UNS serves.

In her 11 years with Nursefinders, Lisa was extensively trained and gained invaluable knowledge. Lisa became co-owner of “UNS” United Nursing Services in 1999 and is much more than a businesswoman. She is a highly trained nurse who operates a home care business based on dedication, commitment, knowledge and quality of care.  She has taken a quality-oriented national health care company and has modified it, expanded it, and changed the company’s name to meet the needs of our local community.

Continuing to focus on her mission, she steered UNS to become Medicare certified and federally regulated, while also expanding services to Collier, Lee, Hendry, Glades, Charlotte, Desoto and Sarasota counties in 2008.

As co-owner and Director of Nursing Services and Quality Assurance, Lisa focuses on customer service and quality of caregivers. Lisa’s commitment to excellence in customer service is personally delivered with visits and open availability to clients and family members, and is involved in the interview process with every potential employee. With United Nursing Services priding itself on providing only the highest quality, standards, commitment and continuity of patient care, we guarantee to provide the most committed and courteous customer service team and professional field staff – a pledge promoted and passionately backed by our owners.

Victor F. Pecaro B.S.

Victor F. Pecaro B.S. is the co-owner and Administrator of United Nursing Services (UNS) formerly Nursefinders. Victor is widely known throughout the community as being friendly, quite the conversationalist, a problem solver, non-judgmental, the type of business owner you want to work for, fair, a man true to his word, a good listener and someone to always lend a hand.

Victor is an avid golfer and plays in many charitable events. When he’s not playing, he sponsors as his way of giving back to the community that has supported him for many years. Victor graduated from the University of Arizona with a BS and (CLU) Charter Life degree in 1969. He enlisted and served in the United States Army and Air Force from 1969-1971 where he became a disciplined self-motivator.

In 1971, he became the district manager and sales representative of Equitable Life specializing in contract administration, insurance, market analysis, troubleshooting, personnel recruitment/retention and sales.  With this valuable experience, in 1983 he partnered with his brother and opened Nursefinders of Oaklawn, a franchise of a national nurse staffing agency.

As co-owner and administrator, Victor specialized in hospital and nursing home staff relief. Seeing the crowded, under-staffed facilities, as well as the patients being just a number with their needs barely being met, Victor had a vision. He saw firsthand the want and need for people to have better health care one-on-one in the comforts of their own home. With this in mind, he relocated to Palm Beach in June 1986, opening his own franchise of Nursefinders of Palm Beach and provided staff relief to facilities and home health care services throughout the county. He began building a reputation for quality services with integrity behind the name.

With facilities running so short of staff and quality of care in a steady decline, Victor backed out of staffing and focused fully on making a difference by building the home care division. In 2003 Nursefinders gave him a choice: do staffing as part of a national company, or change your name and continue to serve the community’s needs and do home care.

Victor dedicated himself to providing excellence in customer service and patient care by providing comprehensive, caring, service and quality oriented home care. By doing this, he gave up the well-known name Nursefinders of Palm Beach after 17 years, changing the company name to United Nursing Services (UNS) to carry out his vision.

In 2004 he elected to become Medicare certified and federally regulated to provide a more comprehensive range of services with more stringent standards. With quality of care leading the way and immense community support behind him, in 2005 he opened United Nursing Services on the west coast of Florida, providing a full range of home health care services to Collier, Lee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Desoto, Glades and Hendry counties.

Victor’s untarnished reputation to stand by his word, kind nature, support and concern for both his staff and clients has led his way in his quest to make a difference and to make those rusty years golden with hearts and hands that care.
